Family Session at the Desert Botanical Gardens

I want your session to be true to your family. Your sessions are a collaboration- I want to showcase your beautiful family in this season and for each family, that looks different in each phase of their journey.

This family signed up for the Milestone Session Package, which includes three sessions over the course of a year. For most parents, this means over the course of the first year of life (though some want this no matter the age of their children).

When this mama and I started chatting about their upcoming 6 month milestone session for their twins, we knew the weather was going to be beautiful that time of year. I asked if she had any specific locations or type of location that they would prefer.

She mentioned how their wedding was scheduled to be at the Desert Botanical Gardens two years ago and was canceled due to covid. The Gardens are a place near and dear to their hearts and we knew would be the ideal location for their photo shoot.

I’ve photographed families at the Gardens many times and have my favorite locations, but what was so special about this was having the family take me on a tour of their favorite places.

And our first stop was the place where their wedding was supposed to take place! How incredible to stop in a place two years after you were schedule to pledge your love to one another and do it with your twin sons?!

This session was amazing for so many reasons, but it was beyond special because everything about the session reflected this family’s past and present love story.
