In-home Newborn Session, Those First Days at Home

Those first days with your new baby are absolute treasures. And of course, absolutely exhausting.

You finally get to meet this precious human that you have been growing for nine months- study their tiny eyelashes and wrinkly fingers; stare into their eyes and smile at their facial expressions.

Your world is a beautiful, messy blur. And I’m here to preserve all that newborn goodness in a tangible form for you to look back upon.

These tiny details slip from our minds so quickly in the midst of the newborn days. I want you to have them preserved.

Simultaneously, for me, newborn photography is about more than just those precious details; it’s about your new family dynamic and roles as parents.

Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, each child bring a new element to your life in a wondrous and magical way.

Your heart bursts open more; your smile lines deepen a bit; a firstborn becomes a sibling; your four-legged baby has another human to watch over.

So how does that unfold during your session? I move at the pace of your family and baby.

There is no perfect “formula” because your family is unique and I use the environment around you to create your session.

If your older children aren’t ready to be photographed yet, then I start with your baby.

If your baby needs to eat, then we take a break to feed.

If you need a snack or cup of coffee, please indulge.

Because I use your home environment, everything is more comfortable and at ease. You don’t have to pack up to go anywhere. Anything and everything you need is readily available.

You have worked to create a beautiful home environment for your family to grow in and that is a beautiful part of your story and memories… So let’s use them :)
