Let’s Get Wet- Salt River Family Session

Phoenix is July means 110 degree heat. But your family is still evolving and growing before your very eyes. So let’s take a page from the Salt River wild horses and get in the river- where the water is cool and the warm air no longer matters.

I admit- river sessions are not for every family. As our sessions unwind, you will get wet, be splashed, and must be able to laugh along the way. For these exact same reasons, your children will relax and enjoy playing as a family, making your family photo session something they will talk about for years to come. I want families to choose a setting that resonates with their vibe and soul- so if flowing with the water and allowing your family to get their clothing wet sounds like fun- let’s get your session on the books!

I always start our sessions out of the water and use the surrounding area to get some beautiful photographs of your family before you get wet. This way you have lots of options to choose from when you see your entire gallery.

Eight months prior to this session, I visited with the Gonzales family at the hospital to photograph their new baby girl- a rainbow baby that they waited a long time for. When we touched base again in June, mom could not believe just how much her girls had grown and knew that she needed a session to preserve this time.

Just as she had said, her girls seemed so much bigger- well, of course her baby did, but even more so- her oldest daughter had blossomed from a kiddo into this beautiful young lady overnight.

Mama also knew that her breastfeeding days were coming to an end and wanted to ensure that these precious moments were photographed.

And just as special as this mama’s bond with her baby is, it all started with the precious girl that made her a mama. Their relationship is deserved to be showcased.
